Crap Eyewear sells sunglasses, and its site title carries the tagline “Don’t Worry, Be Crappy”. Each style has a name plus a color or material, which is how the products are listed. The bestseller shelf is tightly priced, almost all of it at $99 or $119. This guide groups the styles by price so you can see what separates them. Prices are as listed at the time of writing and can change.
Styles at $99
Most of the shelf is priced at $99:
- The No Wave in Licorice Bio
- The Funk Punk in Black Bio
- The Sweet Leaf in Crystal Black Cherry Bio
- The Star Locket in Oxblood Bio
- The Marquee Rox in Black Bio
- The Head Rattle in Black Bio
- The Infinite Bloom in Redwood Gradient
- The Pop Control in Blue Gradient Bio
Polarized styles at $119
Three styles on the shelf have “Polarized” in the name and are priced at $119: The Heavy Tropix in Crystal Olive Bio Polarized, The Funk Daddy in Black Bio Polarized and The Mini Funk in Black Bio Polarized. Within this list, that is a $20 step up from the $99 styles. Whether polarization is worth that to you depends on how you wear sunglasses; the product page has the details.
The in-between price
One style, The Speed Charm in Crystal Stone Bio, is listed at $109, between the other two bands. A new colorway of The Stone Echo also appears among the featured products, although we did not capture a price for it.
Choosing a style
Because the prices are so close, color and shape will matter more than cost. If you want to keep spending to a minimum, any of the eight $99 styles does it. If you have worn polarized lenses before and prefer them, the three at $119 are the ones to look at first. Check the product page for sizing, lens details and any care information before ordering.
Reading the product names
Each name follows a pattern: the style (such as The Funk Punk), then the color, and sometimes extra labels like Bio or Polarized. The Funk Punk, The Funk Daddy and The Mini Funk all come in Black Bio, but The Funk Punk is $99 while the other two are $119 and have Polarized in the name. That is a clear example of how the label, not just the style, moves the price. When you compare two styles, read the whole name so you are looking at the right version.
