Dezeen Showroom: The Collective has introduced Collective Cast – a whiteboard-like surface designed to have a refined appearance that harmonises with the British company's acoustic products.
Collective Cast is a writable glass surface that is back-painted in one of 21 colours to give it an attractive appearance, which complements a room's interior.
"Spaces are experienced as a whole," said The Collective founder and chief innovation officer Lucy Abraham. "We kept seeing acoustics and writable surfaces specified alongside one another, but rarely considered together."
"Collective Cast came from wanting to create something more visually resolved, where acoustics, colour and collaboration surfaces could all work together as part of the same interior language."
Collective Cast is available with either a timber or powder-coated aluminium frame, a matt or glossy glass finish, and a magnetic or non-magnetic format.
Well-suited to meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and learning environments, it comes in eight standard sizes and can also be ordered to custom dimensions of up to two by two metres.
