Any honest For Them review has to start with the tagline, because the brand leads with it everywhere: queer goods, made right. That is a claim about manufacturing standards as much as about identity, and it is a fair thing to hold a shop to.
For Them describes its catalog as binders, underwear, gay hats, print magazine and accessories, and it sits alongside the queer media outlet Autostraddle. With a following north of 116,000 on Instagram, it is not a niche curiosity any more. So what does the shop actually stock, how is it made, and what should you know before you check out? Here is a straight look at the range.
What For Them actually sells
The catalog is broader than the apparel-only shops it gets grouped with. Across the current lineup you will find:
- Tees and tanks — including the FOR THEM Long Sleeve Tee, the "Kiss Your Local TBoy" Rib Baby Tee and Heavy Faded Tank, the "Support Trans Wrongs" Heavy Faded Tank, the "Transsexual Dyke" Heavy Faded Tank and the "Save a Cowboy Ride a Stud" Tank.
- Headwear — the Good Boy A-Frame Black Hat, the first official piece of Good Boys Podcast merchandise.
- Bandanas — the For Them logo bandana in lime, green, blue, baby blue and maroon.
- Stickers — three packs (Good Boy, Eating Out, On Screen) plus a bundle that combines all three.
- Print media — Autostraddle Print Issue #03.
- Odds and ends — the Sports Gay Foam Finger and the "I Got Wet With For Them" Rally Towel.
It reads like a shop run by people who also make a magazine, which is exactly what it is. The merchandise is not generic blanks with a rainbow slapped on; most items reference something specific — a podcast, a magazine issue, a running joke.

The apparel: heavyweight, garment-dyed and specific about it
The most encouraging thing in this For Them review is that the product pages publish real specs rather than vibes.
The FOR THEM Long Sleeve Tee is 100% cotton at a heavy 7.1 oz/yd² with a garment-dyed finish, a boxy oversized fit, dropped shoulders and twin-stitched wide neck ribbing. It is preshrunk with a tear-away label, and the size chart runs S to 3XL, from 20.50 inches wide by 28.50 long up to 28.25 by 33.50. The Kiss Your Local TBoy Heavy Faded Tank uses the same 7.1 oz cotton base with raw armholes, side seams, shoulder-to-shoulder tape and double-needle hems.
The Rib Baby Tee is a different animal on purpose: a Bella+Canvas Micro Rib in 52% cotton and 48% polyester at 5.3 oz/yd², mid-length, 1x1 micro rib, sized XS to 2XL. Athletic Heather is 90% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton with 10% polyester fleece. So the range covers both the oversized boxy silhouette and a fitted one, rather than pretending one cut works for everybody.
Two things to flag honestly. Several of the printed pieces are produced through Printify rather than in-house, and the tees and tanks are marked as available to U.S. customers only. If heavyweight blanks are your thing generally, our roundup of premium blank tee brands covers the wider category.
Bandanas and accessories are the sleeper picks
The bandanas are the most quietly appealing thing in the shop. Each is 100% cotton, carries the For Them logo, and is made in the U.S. The listing's own description is a good summary of the appeal: tie it in your hair, tuck it under a hat, knot it around your neck, stuff it in your pocket, or wave it like you mean it. Five colourways are listed — lime, green, blue, baby blue and maroon.
Then there is the Sports Gay Foam Finger, described as a foam finger for your finger, aimed at the gay sports fan who wants everyone to know they are gay and also love sports. That is the whole product and the whole joke, and it lands. The "I Got Wet With For Them" Rally Towel rounds out the sports-issue accessories.

The magazine is the part people underestimate
For Them sits alongside Autostraddle, and the Autostraddle Print Issue #03 is on the same storefront. The pitch is direct: for over a decade you have read us online, now you can hold us in your hands.
It is a full-colour zine described as made by and for the community, carrying queer essays, reported features, photography, horoscopes and puzzles. The framing positions it as a piece of physical queer media building on a long legacy of LGBTQ+ zines, which is a bigger claim than most merchandise makes and one the format actually supports.
There is a genuinely useful buying note here: add the AF+ ALL-ACCESS Quarterly Membership to your cart and you pay $0 for the magazine. If you were considering the membership anyway, that changes the maths considerably. Browse the current issue at the For Them store.

The catches worth knowing before you order
No review is useful without the fine print, and For Them's is more restrictive than average.
- Final sale is common. The magazines are explicitly final sale and not eligible for return. So are the bandanas, the rally towel, the hat and most of the tanks and tees.
- Hats cannot be returned or exchanged. The Good Boy A-Frame is final sale and, for sanitary reasons, not eligible for returns or exchanges. Read the fit description before ordering.
- U.S. only on the printed apparel. The long sleeve tee, the baby tee and the tanks all carry a note that they are available to U.S. customers only.
- Some items are members-only or pre-order. The Good Boy hat is tagged as a members-only product, and the rally towel is listed as pre-order.
None of that is disqualifying, but it does mean you should treat sizing as a one-shot decision. Measure a shirt you already own and compare it against the published width and length numbers rather than guessing from a letter size.
The verdict
For Them earns its tagline more than most. The specs are published, the bandanas are made in the U.S., the cuts are offered in both boxy and fitted, and the humour is written by people inside the community rather than aimed at it from outside. The magazine tie-in gives the shop a reason to exist beyond selling shirts.
The trade-offs are real: heavy reliance on final sale, U.S.-only shipping on printed apparel, and print-on-demand production for a chunk of the graphics. If you want something you can return after trying on, this is not that shop. If you want queer-made goods with actual fabric weights on the page, it is a good one. For a different take on cause-driven graphics, our best graphic tee brands roundup is worth a look.
For Them FAQ
Does For Them ship outside the U.S.?
The printed apparel — the long sleeve tee, the Rib Baby Tee and the tanks — is listed as available to U.S. customers only. Check each individual product page, since not every item carries that note.
Can I return a For Them order?
Often not. Many items including the magazines, bandanas, rally towel and hat are marked final sale, and hats specifically are not eligible for returns or exchanges for sanitary reasons.
What is the Autostraddle magazine about?
Issue #03 is a full-colour zine of queer essays, reported features, photography, horoscopes and puzzles. Adding the AF+ ALL-ACCESS Quarterly Membership to your cart brings the magazine cost to $0.
